Fast, Reliable Storm Damage Roof Repair

Storms in Tennessee can be brutal. The region experiences severe weather year-round, including spring thunderstorms, high winds, and hail events. In fact, according to the National Weather Service, Tennessee sees over 25 hail events annually, many of which cause property damage.

That’s why quick response and experienced workmanship matter. At Antebellum Roofworks, we offer emergency roofing services, detailed damage inspections, insurance claim support, and full-scale repairs and replacements.

Common Types of Storm Damage We Handle:

  • Wind Damage: Strong Tennessee windstorms can tear off shingles, lift flashing, and damage roof decking. These issues often go unnoticed until water starts leaking into the attic or home interior. Our wind damage repair services ensure your roof remains secure and weather-resistant.
  • Hail Damage: Hailstones, especially those over 1 inch in diameter, can dent metal roofs, crack or bruise asphalt shingles, and compromise the waterproof barrier of your roofing system. We provide expert hail damage assessments and repairs to restore the integrity of your roof quickly.

How to Spot the Signs of Roof Storm Damage

Here’s a clearer explanation of each item to help homeowners assess damage:

  • Missing or Lifted Shingles: May indicate strong wind uplift, especially near ridges, valleys, and eaves.
  • Bruising or Cracking on Shingles: Typical signs of hail impact. Bruised shingles may seem soft or spongy when touched.
  • Granule Loss or Discoloration: Missing granules expose the underlayment, reducing the roof’s UV protection and shortening its lifespan.
  • Leaking or Stained Ceilings Indoors: A warning that water has breached the roof deck and entered attic or ceiling spaces.
  • Dents in Vents, Flashing, or Gutters: Suggest hail impact and can compromise ventilation or lead to improper drainage.
  • Debris in Gutters or on Roof Valleys: May indicate loosened shingles or flashing, especially after high winds.

  • Supplementing missed items

We help homeowners maximize their policy benefits while minimizing stress. Our reputation as a top-rated storm damage roofing contractor in Franklin and Middle Tennessee makes us a trusted partner for homeowners and insurers alike.

Our Proven Storm Damage Roof Repair Process

1. At Antebellum Roofworks Project Manager will inspect your property to determine the extent of damage to your roof, siding, gutters, windows, and the interior of your property.

2. We ask you to call your insurance company to initiate a claim.  (Unfortunately, insurance companies do not allow us to do this for you.)

3. Once you have an insurance claim number, our Project Manager will contact the Insurance Adjuster assigned to the claim. On your behalf, we will begin the claim negotiating process.

4. Our Project Manager will meet with the Adjuster and document all of the damage.  We encourage you to be present during this inspection.  However, if it is inconvenient to take time off work, your attendance is not required.  We will notify you of the results of the Adjuster’s inspection and audit his estimate to make sure your claim is fairly settled. If their findings differ from ours, we request a different Adjuster to inspect your property.   If they still refuse to pay you what we honestly feel you are entitled to, we can have an independent Arbitrator completely re-inspect your property.

5. Once we receive approval from your insurance company, two things will happen simultaneously. First, the Insurance Adjuster will tell your insurance company to write you a check for at least half the total cost of the project.  Second, our Project Manager will collect the insurance deductible, typically $500 and begin the restoration process.  The deductible is typically your only out-of-pocket expense unless you purchased upgrades or other services not covered by your insurance.

6. Once your first insurance check arrives, your Project Manager collects the first check you have received from the insurance company to purchase materials.  In the construction industry, it’s called a “Material Drop Check,”

7. Next, our Project Manager will order the materials needed to replace the damaged areas.

8. When the materials are delivered, our Project Manager will do a thorough inspection to make sure that all of the materials are correct.

9. Once the Material Drop Check has been delivered and verified, our Project Manager will schedule the work to be done on your house and assign the crews.

10. Our Project Manager will be at your property when construction begins to meet and instruct the crew.  All work is supervised by an Antebellum Roofworks Foreman and Superintendent.  All crews have been E Verified, background checked and drug tested.  All crews are factory trained and authorized.

11. Once work is completed, you and our Project Manager and Superintendant will go over the Inspection Checklist together, point by point, to confirm that everything has been completed to your satisfaction.

12. After completing the work on your property, we will invoice your insurance company for the remainder of the money due for the project.  When you receive final payment from your insurance company, our Project Manager will come to your house to pick up the check and confirm that you are completely satisfied.

What They’re Saying About Us

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my roof has storm damage in Franklin, TN?

Storm damage isn’t always obvious from the ground. In Middle Tennessee, common signs include missing shingles, bruised or dented areas from hail, ceiling leaks, or debris buildup in gutters. We offer free professional inspections in Franklin and the surrounding areas to assess hidden damage quickly.

If you suspect damage, secure your home by avoiding attic access and call a local roofing professional. Antebellum Roofworks provides emergency tarping, thorough inspections, and insurance claim guidance, ensuring your home is protected from further water intrusion or mold growth.

Yes, most policies in Tennessee cover storm damage caused by hail, wind, or falling debris. We help you file insurance claims, meet with adjusters, and provide documentation to maximize your benefits with minimal stress.

Ideally, within 24 to 48 hours. Delaying inspection can lead to worsening leaks, mold, or claim complications. Antebellum Roofworks offers free post-storm inspections across Middle Tennessee to ensure fast, reliable service.

Absolutely. Wind gusts over 60 mph, which are common during Tennessee storms, can break sealant bonds and lift shingles, even if they appear intact. This can compromise your roof’s waterproofing and lead to future leaks.

Hail can dent metal panels, bruise shingles, and loosen granules that protect your roof from UV rays. Even small hail can cause long-term damage that isn’t visible right away. That’s why a trained eye is crucial after hail events.

Not always. If damage is localized and caught early, repairs may suffice. However, if shingles are missing, multiple layers are compromised, or leaks are widespread, replacement might be recommended. We always provide honest assessments based on your roof’s condition.

Most minor repairs can be completed within 1–2 days. Full replacements may take longer depending on material availability and weather. We prioritize emergencies and communicate clearly throughout the process.

Local contractors like Antebellum Roofworks understand regional storm patterns, building codes, and insurance trends. We’re based in Franklin, TN, and have served the community for years, unlike storm-chasing companies that disappear after the job.

It’s risky. Even minor damage can lead to water intrusion, rot, and insulation failure, costing more in the long run. We recommend scheduling a prompt inspection and resolving issues before they escalate.
